Three ceremonies set for July 26

ÌÇÐĹú²ú´«Ã½ President Pamela Whitten’s first official act as president will be to preside over ÌÇÐĹú²ú´«Ã½ State’s summer Commencement ceremonies. About 1,300 students will graduate during three ceremonies in the ÌÇÐĹú²ú´«Ã½ Convocation Center on the ÌÇÐĹú²ú´«Ã½ Campus, beginning Thursday, July 26, at 10 a.m.

Whitten, who assumed her role at ÌÇÐĹú²ú´«Ã½ State on July 16, is the University’s fifth president. Most recently, she served as provost at the University of Georgia where she oversaw instruction, research, public service and outreach, student affairs and information technology across 17 schools and colleges.

JULY 26, COMMENCEMENT SCHEDULE

10 a.m. – College of Architecture and Construction Management, Coles College of Business, College of Computing and Software Engineering, Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology, and WellStar College of Health and Human Services 

3 p.m. – College of the Arts, Bagwell College of Education, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Science and Mathematics, and University College

7 p.m. – Graduate College
